- designing, implementing and maintaining dynamic risk dashboards in Switzerland as well as supporting the roll-out in other important UBS locations;
- extracting and manipulating large volumes of data, including detailed specifications and documentation, and developing classification/prediction models when needed;
- implementing measures to ensure data quality, need-to-know principles and optimized data access for large data sets;
- identifying automation opportunities and data-driven improvements, as part of a dedicated data analytics competence center to support GFIW Business Risk Organization’s mandate.
- a university degree, preferably in an analytical field (Math, Statistics, Physics, Finance or IT) or a comparable education proving your skills in handling data
- relevant work experience of at least 3 years related to the above-mentioned responsibilities
- a good command of SQL and at least one language between Python and R; any other major programming language is an asset
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills, propensity to move from prototyping to concrete implementation avoiding “analysis paralysis”
- good presentation skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
- excellent command of English, spoken and written (a good understanding of German and any other major language is a plus)
- experience in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI or R-Shiny) is an asset
- knowledge of network theory, statistical analysis and machine learning methods is an asset
- experience in working in international business environment, preferably at a financial services company and/or within risk related topics, is an asset

Your team
We are a dynamic team of data analysts and data scientists in Business Risk Management (BRM) very closely working with the GFIW Business Risk Organization. We are focused on innovative solutions (including machine learning and automation) to design and perform risk deep dives into the most complex clients in the bank, as well as perform GFIW specific controls together with the front office.
In addition, we work in an agile setup and strive to support meaningful risk-based decisions by delivering ad-hoc reports and other advanced insights directly to our business stakeholders. Our offices are located in Zurich.
